The World Poultry Science Association (Malaysia Branch) and World Veterinary Poultry Science Association with collaboration of Faculty Veterinary Medicine, UPM and Department of Veterinary Services of Malaysia had successfully organised it first Scientific Conference in 2013. The venue was held at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UPM, Serdang on 30th November to 1st December 2013.
The theme “Advancing Poultry Production for Food Security” had provided wonderful opportunities for scientists, veterinarian, academicians, student and industry players to meet and exchange of new findings through presentation (oral and posters) and discussion in various field and issues related to the poultry industry for enhancement of food security in Malaysia. The post conference workshop “issues and Challenges in Control and prevention of New Disease Outbreaks” had successfully organised and provided great opportunity for knowledge transfer lead by Prof. Dr. Mohd Hair Bejo.
