WPSA Scientific Poultry Seminar (16 February 2016)
The committee members of WPSA (Malaysia Branch) organized the Poultry Seminar on 16 February 2016. This seminar was held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia with the theme of “Poultry Production and Health”. This seminar was organized with the cooperation of World Poultry Science Association (Malaysia Branch), World Veterinary Poultry Association (Malaysia Branch), UPM, DVS, and Malaysia Flour Mill Berhad. The seminar provided a platform for scientist, academicians, livestock producers, veterinarian, policy makers and livestock extension officers to discuss matters relevant to the industry, as well as enhance networking within the industry. The seminar was officiated by Datin Paduka Prof. Dr Aini Ideris and closed by Prof. Dr Zulkifli Idrus. We had 4 speakers from University of Arkansas and UPM covering the topics of production, nutrition and health of poultry. These speakers were Prof. Dr Anthony N.B., Prof. Dr Mohd Hair Bejo, Prof. Dr. Kidd M.T. and Dr Thomas E. Bowen. There were 189 participants from WPSA and WVPA registered for the seminar and the meal were sponsored by Malayan Flour Mill Berhad.
